I’m curious about what Moroccans traditionally eat for breakfast during Eid. What special dishes or ingredients are usually part of the celebration?

For Eid breakfast, we usually start with msemen and baghrir (Moroccan pancakes). They’re served with honey and butter, and it’s the perfect start to the day!

In our family, we enjoy khlia (preserved meat) with eggs. It’s a savory dish that goes well with bread and adds a bit of extra richness to the breakfast table.

Sfenj (Moroccan doughnuts) are also popular on Eid mornings. They’re deep-fried, fluffy, and delicious, especially when dipped in sugar or honey.

Mint tea is essential! The whole family gathers around to sip tea, share stories, and enjoy a peaceful morning together before the festivities begin.
