For Eid al-Adha, lamb is usually the centerpiece. Dishes like lamb mechoui (slow-roasted lamb) and various tagines are very popular.

Pastilla is often served during celebrations, either with chicken and almonds or as a sweet seafood version.

Harira soup is also common during Eid, especially for breaking fast during Ramadan. It’s a hearty and flavorful soup with lentils, chickpeas, and meat.

For desserts, you’ll often find chebakia, a honey-dipped pastry seasoned with sesame, and almond-filled briouats served with mint tea.
