Every time I make couscous, it clumps together and loses its fluffy texture. What’s the best way to prevent this from happening?

The key is to fluff the couscous with a fork immediately after cooking and to steam it in stages. Avoid over-soaking it in water to prevent clumping.

Make sure to use a fork to fluff the couscous after steaming, and drizzle a little olive oil before adding the water. This will help the grains stay separate.

Steam the couscous in small batches and fluff it with a fork between each steaming. Adding a small amount of butter or oil also keeps the grains from sticking together.
