I’ve had Moroccan chebakia during Ramadan and absolutely loved it! Could someone share a traditional recipe for making these honey-coated pastries?

To make chebakia, you’ll need a dough flavored with anise, sesame, and orange blossom water. The dough is shaped into intricate designs, fried, and then soaked in honey.

Mix flour with sesame seeds, anise, and cinnamon. Shape the dough, fry it, and then dip the pastries in warm honey. Sprinkle with sesame seeds for a perfect finish.

Chebakia is made with a spiced dough that’s cut into strips, folded, and fried until golden. After frying, the pastries are soaked in honey and sprinkled with sesame seeds.
