I’ve been wanting to make Harira soup, a Moroccan classic, but I’m not sure of the ingredients and steps. Can anyone share an authentic recipe?

To make Harira, sauté onions, celery, and tomatoes, then add lentils, chickpeas, and lamb (optional). Season with saffron, cumin, cinnamon, and coriander. Let it simmer for an hour and finish with fresh cilantro and lemon.

Harira is made with a tomato base, chickpeas, lentils, and lamb or beef. Season with turmeric, saffron, and cinnamon, and thicken with flour and water to give it a creamy texture.

Start by browning some meat (lamb or beef), then add tomatoes, onions, chickpeas, lentils, and spices like ginger, cumin, and cinnamon. Simmer and finish with a squeeze of lemon juice.
