I tried Moroccan fish balls once and have been craving them ever since. Does anyone have a recipe or tips for making them at home?

For a basic fish ball recipe, use white fish like cod, breadcrumbs, chopped parsley, garlic, and spices (cumin, paprika, and a pinch of cayenne). Shape them and cook in a tomato sauce.

In my recipe, I add finely chopped cilantro and a little bit of lemon zest. It brightens the flavor and makes the fish balls taste fresher.

If you want them to be extra soft, try using a bit of egg to bind the fish mixture. This keeps the fish balls tender, especially when simmered in sauce.

Serve with a spicy tomato sauce seasoned with harissa and caraway seeds. It adds a nice heat that balances the mildness of the fish.
