I’m lactose intolerant but love Moroccan beghrir (semolina pancakes). Is there a way to make a dairy-free version that still tastes authentic?

You can easily make dairy-free beghrir by replacing the milk with almond or oat milk. The texture stays the same, and the taste is still delicious!

Coconut milk works great as a substitute in beghrir. It adds a slight sweetness that pairs well with honey or syrup when serving.

Try using soy milk instead of regular milk. The semolina flour will still create the same texture, and you won’t miss the dairy at all.
