I’ve been trying to eat more plant-based meals, and I love Moroccan Harira. Is it possible to make a vegan version that still tastes authentic?

Yes, Harira can be made vegan by simply omitting the meat and using vegetable broth. Add more lentils and chickpeas for protein, and the spices will give it that authentic Moroccan flavor.

Absolutely! Just replace the meat with more beans or tofu for protein. The combination of tomatoes, lentils, chickpeas, and spices will still give you the hearty taste of traditional Harira.

A vegan Harira is easy to make. You can skip the meat and double the lentils and chickpeas. Add extra herbs like cilantro and parsley to boost the flavor, and you won’t miss the meat!
