I don’t own a food processor, but I want to make Moroccan harira. Is it essential, or can I make the soup without it?

You can make harira without a food processor. Just chop the vegetables finely by hand and mash the lentils and chickpeas a bit with a spoon to thicken the soup.

A food processor isn’t necessary for harira. You can chop the ingredients by hand, or use an immersion blender if you prefer a smoother texture.

While a food processor can speed things up, it’s not essential for harira. You can simply chop everything manually, or even leave the soup chunkier for a rustic feel.
