I want to try making harira at home. Do I need a special type of pot, or can I use a regular saucepan?

You can make harira in a regular saucepan or stockpot. The key is to simmer it slowly, allowing the flavors to develop, so any large pot with a lid will work.

A regular saucepan or stockpot will work perfectly for harira. Just make sure it’s large enough to hold all the ingredients and has a lid to trap in the steam.

No special pot is needed for harira. A basic heavy-bottomed saucepan will do the trick. Just cook it slowly on medium-low heat to let the flavors meld.
