I’m trying to experiment with Moroccan flavors in a healthy, modern way. I love quinoa salads, and I’d like to infuse Moroccan spices into it. Any tips on which spices and ingredients to use?

Ras el hanout is a perfect spice blend to use for a quinoa salad. You can also add cumin, paprika, and coriander. Mix in roasted vegetables like bell peppers and carrots, and toss everything in a lemony olive oil dressing.

Add some preserved lemons and fresh mint to your quinoa salad for a Moroccan twist. These ingredients bring brightness and a fresh, tangy flavor that complements the spices.

For a protein boost, mix in chickpeas spiced with cumin and turmeric. A handful of raisins or dried apricots can add a sweet contrast to the savory flavors, similar to what you’d find in a couscous dish.

Don’t forget to top your salad with toasted almonds or pumpkin seeds for added crunch. The combination of textures, plus the Moroccan spices, makes this dish unique and satisfying.
