What’s the best way to make traditional sfenj at home?
0
I’m craving sfenj (Moroccan doughnuts) but haven’t found a recipe that matches the ones I tried in Morocco. Any tips?

The trick is to let the dough rise for at least 2 hours. It should be light and fluffy for the best results.

Use a mix of water and a touch of orange blossom water for flavor. It adds a subtle fragrance that’s typical in Moroccan sfenj.

Make sure to fry them in very hot oil so they puff up quickly and get that golden, crispy exterior.

Sprinkle with a bit of sugar right after frying. It sticks better and gives an authentic sweet touch.
